Runescape 3 1-99 woodcutting p2p (wc) Guide 2014

Updated on April 20, 2014

In this guide i will tell you the best, fastest and most profitable way to get 99 woodcutting (wc) on the online game Runescape. This guide will tell you all the best locations for cutting trees and will also tell you what you should wear and wield when woodcutting.

Woodcutting is known as one of the easiest skills to master on Runescape and this is due to the short amount of time and little effort it takes to get to 99. In order to get 99 woodcutting it should take between 5-7days playing time using my guide. Allot of players go AFK (away from keyboard) when woodcutting and this is because once you start to chop choking ivy you don't need to sit over your character and watch him, you just need to check back to click every couple of minutes. Another tip is too watch Youtube videos alongside your Runescape screen and this will also make it less boring.

Woodcutting Outift

Your clothing does not really matter to much when woodcutting but if you are to wear a Strung Rabbits foot Necklace this will increase your chances of getting a birds nest drop. However this does require a hunting level of 24 to wear.

If you do have lumberjack clothing from the mini-game i would recommend wearing it as this can help increase xp rates per hour but if you do not already have this outfit, i don't recommend wasting your time getting it as it can be quite difficult and time consuming to get.

Spotted Capes and boots of lightness can help decrease time spent running to the bank and back to your woodcutting spot but i would not worry to much about wearing them as once you get to 68 woodcutting you will not need to make anymore trips back to the bank.

Hatchet's

I recommend using the best hatchet you can for your Wooductting level and once you get to 61 woodcutting i do recommend that you are to swap your rune hatchet for a dragon hatchet this is because both the Dragon Hatchet and the Inferno Hatchet are 15% faster than cutting with a rune hatchet. This may not seem allot but it will save you allot of playing time and it is definitely worth investing in.

Normal Trees Level 1 - 15 Lumbridge/Draynor Village

Both f2p and p2p players should cut normal trees or dead trees in the area of woods which are located between Lumbridge Castle and Draynor Village. Continue to cut the trees in this area until you have reached level 15 woodcutting.

Logs - 25xp per log

Level 1-15 = 97 logs to cut.

Level 15 - 30 Oak Trees West Varrock

To cut oak trees head to the patch of woods just west of Varrock West bank and begin cutting until you have reached level 30 wooodcutting. You can bank your logs at Varrock west bank as this maybe quicker than dropping them on the floor.

Oak Logs - 37.5xp per log

Levels 15-30 = 534 oak logs are to be chopped

Levels 30 - 68/99 Willow Trees Barbarians Outpost (P2P) Draynor Village (F2P)

F2P:-

For levels 30-99 I recommend cutting willow trees at either Draynor Village or West Rimmington. At times and in certain worlds Draynor can be come very populated and overcrowded meaning that you are not getting as much xp as you probably should be as other player steal your trees so if that is the case you should try cutting logs in Rimmington and dropping them on the floor until you have reached level 99.

Willow logs - 67.5xp

Levels 30-99 = To achieve 99 woodcutting you will need to cut 192,905 willow logs.

Average Xp Per Hour:- depending on popularity of your world anywhere between 30-45k XP Per Hour.

Members:-

For levels 30 - 68 I recommend that members are to go to the barbarians outpost which can be easily accessed via a games necklace and to cut the willow trees outside until level 68. These willow logs can be deposited in the "Quick Deposit Box" within the Barbarians outpost but if you are going to do this make sure that you are holding your hatchet otherwise you may accidentally deposit it.

Willow Logs - 67.5xp

Levels 30-68 = 8766

Average Xp Per Hour:- 40-50k

Levels 68-99 Choking Ivy (various locations)

For levels 68-99 you want to be cutting choking ivy and this is when you really start to get high xp rates per hour. This is also where i recommend investing in a Dragon Hatchet if you have not already as it will really help.

Located:- Yanile,Falador Walls,Varrock Castle walls and many other places on Runescape. My preffered spot has to be the spot around the back of Varrock castle neer the yew trees on the castles northern wall.

XP rates Per Hour :- Depending on clothing and popularity of world anywhere between 55k - 110k XP per hour has been reported.

Amount to Cut to 99 - 37,382 (this will be lower if wearing lumberjack)
